About Us
History
Established in the heart of Miami in 1918, Jackson Memorial Hospital is the largest public hospital in the nation with over 1550 beds. Jackson is a safety net hospital that serves Miami-Dade County, including a large indigent and immigrant population who have limited access to healthcare.
Clinical Sites
Clinical locations include Jackson Memorial Hospital, which is also the home of Ryder Trauma Center and Holtz Children’s Hospital, University of Miami UHealth, Miami VA Hospital and Holy Cross Hospital. These sites provide our residents experience in academic, county, and community hospitals, preparing them for the breadth of careers in emergency medicine.

Curriculum
Our program is a 3-year ACGME approved program that offers a comprehensive patient-centered model designed to train compassionate and expert Emergency Medicine leaders.
Our curriculum incorporates multiple modalities of learning: simulation, small group sessions, and comprehensive lectures to engage and educate our residents.
